The results of the five states were announced on May 4, and the Bharatiya Janata Party secured a majority in three states—West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry. Senior BJP leaders have also announced the date for forming the government.
In the most talked-about state, West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party is expected to form the government by May 10. The biggest question now is, who will become the next chief minister of West Bengal?
The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed Amit Shah as the central observer for West Bengal. Under his supervision, the new government in the state is expected to be formed before May 10.
According to the BJP, the party’s parliamentary board assigned Amit Shah the responsibility of overseeing the selection of the leader of the BJP legislative party in West Bengal.
Along with this, Mohan Charan Majhi, the Chief Minister of Odisha, has been appointed as the Central Co-Observer.

It has also appointed Mohan Charan Majhi, chief minister of Odisha, as the central co-observer.

In West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged as the largest party with 208 seats. The All India Trinamool Congress secured 80 seats, making it the second-largest party. Meanwhile, the Indian National Congress and the Left parties won two seats each, while two seats went to other candidates.
In Assam, the Bharatiya Janata Party has secured a majority for the third consecutive time, and preparations to form the government have already begun.
Although the current Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, is considered the BJP’s main face for the post, it will become clear in the coming days who the party officially chooses as the next Chief Minister.

For this, the Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed its former national president and Union Minister J. P. Nadda as the Central Observer for the election of the leader of the BJP Legislative Party.
Along with this, Nayab Singh Saini, the Chief Minister of Haryana, has been appointed as the Central Co-Observer.

In Puducherry, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has once again secured victory, winning 18 out of 30 seats. The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) won 6 seats, while the Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) secured 3 seats.
