A major change is set to take place at the world-famous Apple, as the company is getting a new CEO. John Ternus has been appointed as the new CEO. He is 50 years old and has been associated with the company for the past 25 years.
Apple CEO Tim Cook will resign from his position on September 1, but he will continue to work with the company in a new role as executive chairman. Tim Cook became CEO in 2011 and has completed more than 15 years in the position.
John Ternus has been working at Apple for a long time. He joined the company in 2001 and has spent around 25 years working in product design and hardware engineering. He has also played important roles in senior positions at the company and has contributed to several key Apple projects.
His full name is John Patrick Ternus. He was born in May 1975 in California, United States, and is currently 51 years old. He studied at the University of Pennsylvania. Until now, he has been serving at Apple as senior vice president of hardware engineering. However, from September 1, 2026, he will take over the role of Apple CEO.

Tim Cook praised John Ternus highly and said in an interview that Ternus has the mind of an engineer and the energy of an innovator.
