In Kerala, results for all 140 seats have been declared. The Congress has emerged as the single largest party, winning 63 seats. With this performance, the UDF (United Democratic Front) alliance has secured a clear majority in the state with a total of 99 seats.
On the other hand, the CPI(M)-led LDF (Left Democratic Front) faced a major setback in this election, managing to win only 35 seats overall. The UDF alliance’s strong performance marks a significant political shift in Kerala.

In Kerala, a total of 883 candidates contested for 140 seats. The majority mark in the state is 71 seats.
This time, the election witnessed a direct contest between the LDF and UDF alliances, in which the LDF faced defeat.
With this result, for the first time since the 1960s, there is no left-wing government in any state across the country.
Pinarayi Vijayan of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) contested from the Dharmadam (Kerala) Assembly constituency and secured a strong victory.
He received a total of 85,614 votes and won by a margin of 19,247 votes.
The second position was secured by V. P. Abdul Rasheed of the Indian National Congress, who finished as the runner-up in this constituency.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar of the Bharatiya Janata Party contested from the Nemom (Kerala) Assembly constituency and secured a victory.
He received a total of 57,192 votes and won by a margin of 4,978 votes.
The second position was secured by V. Sivankutty of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), who finished as the runner-up in this constituency.
P.A. Mohammed Riyas, Kerala’s Public Works Department (PWD) minister, secured a strong victory in the election. He contested from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and received a total of 81,849 votes, winning by a margin of 7,487 votes.
The second position was secured by P. V. Anvar (Independent), who finished as the runner-up in this constituency.
