Team Announced for the Sri Lanka Tour; 15-Year-Old Player Included in the Squad.

For the tour of Sri Lanka, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the squad. The team includes some new faces who have been given an opportunity, such as Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Priyansh Arya, and Anshul Kamboj. These young players are part of the squad.

This will be a tri-nation series featuring India along with Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.

These matches will be played in June 2026, for which the Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the squad. A total of 15 players have been included in the team.

Meanwhile, Riyan Parag has been named the vice-captain of the team. One of the biggest highlights of the squad is the inclusion of 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Additionally, Priyansh Arya, who is playing for Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League 2026, has also been included in the team.

This series will be played in Dambulla.

One special thing about this squad is that players who performed well in Indian Premier League 2026 have been included in the team. Players such as Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Priyansh Arya, Ayush Badoni, Nishant Sindhu, and Harsh Dubey have all been selected in the squad.

In this series, India A cricket team, Sri Lanka A cricket team, and Afghanistan A cricket team will take part. The first match of the series will be played between India A cricket team and Sri Lanka A cricket team on June 9.

The final match of the series will be played on June 21.

Tilak Varma has been named the captain of the team, while Riyan Parag has been appointed as the vice-captain. The squad also includes two wicketkeepers — Prabhsimran Singh and Kumar Kushagra.
