I n Indian Premier League 2026 Match No. 28, played on Sunday between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals, KKR won the match by 4 wickets. The game was played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. This match was very special for KKR as it marked their first victory of the season.

In this match, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and decided to bat first. For RR, Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored the highest with 46 runs and helped set a target of 156 runs for Kolkata Knight Riders, which KKR successfully chased in the final over.

This match was very special for the Kolkata Knight Riders, as it was their first win of the season. KKR have played a total of 7 matches so far in the current Indian Premier League season, but they managed to secure only one victory, which came today against Rajasthan Royals.

RR Batting:

For Rajasthan Royals, only two players played notable innings. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 46 runs off 28 balls, hitting 6 fours and 2 sixes. Yashasvi Jaiswal also contributed with 39 runs off 29 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from them, no other player managed to score more than 15 runs.

Other batters from Rajasthan Royals failed to make a big impact. Dhruv Jurel scored 5 runs, while team captain Riyan Parag added only 12 runs for the side. Shimron Hetmyer made 15 runs and Donovan Ferreira scored 7 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja contributed 9 runs, Jofra Archer scored 8 runs, and Ravi Bishnoi was dismissed for 0. Brijesh Sharma remained not out on 1 run.

KKR Batting:

The start was not good for Kolkata Knight Riders as Tim Seifert and Ajinkya Rahane lost their wickets early. After that, Angkrish Raghuvanshi also departed for 10 runs after being dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja.

Cameron Green could not make a big contribution and was out after scoring 27 runs. Rovman Powell also managed only 23 runs, leaving the team in a difficult position at that stage.

However, Rinku Singh played a crucial innings of 53 runs off 34 balls, hitting 5 fours and 2 sixes. Anukul Roy remained not out on 29 runs and helped the team secure their first win of the season. Ramandeep Singh also contributed 10 runs for the team.
