Petrol and diesel prices increased for the fourth time in 10 days.

On Monday, the government once again increased petrol and diesel prices. Petrol prices were raised by ₹2.61 per litre, while diesel prices saw an increase of ₹2.71 per litre.

This is the fourth fuel price hike in the last 10 days.

Meanwhile, after this latest hike, petrol prices have reached ₹102.12 per litre, while diesel prices have risen to ₹95.20 per litre.

The first hike in petrol and diesel prices was announced on May 15, when both fuels were increased by ₹3 per litre.

After that, on May 19, petrol and diesel prices were increased once again, with both fuels becoming costlier by around 90 paise per litre.

Then, on Saturday, May 23, petrol and diesel prices were increased again. Petrol became costlier by 87 paise per litre, while diesel prices rose by 91 paise per litre.

And now, on May 25, fuel prices have been increased once again. Petrol prices have gone up by ₹2.61 per litre, while diesel prices have risen by ₹2.71 per litre.

The government continues to increase petrol and diesel prices from time to time, and there seems to be no clear answer as to where this will stop.

While elections were underway in five states, the government did not increase petrol or diesel prices. However, ever since the elections concluded, fuel prices have been rising repeatedly.

In this race, Hyderabad tops the list, where petrol is being sold at ₹115.73 per litre and diesel at ₹103.82 per litre.

In Thiruvananthapuram, petrol is being sold at ₹115.49 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹104.41 per litre.

In Kolkata, petrol is being sold at ₹113.51 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹99.82 per litre.

In Jaipur, petrol is being sold at ₹113.35 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹98.39 per litre.

In Mumbai, petrol is being sold at ₹111.21 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹97.83 per litre.

In Patna, petrol is being sold at ₹111.00 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹99.54 per litre.

In Bengaluru, petrol is being sold at ₹108.09 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹98.54 per litre.

In Chennai, petrol is being sold at ₹107.77 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹99.55 per litre.

In Bhubaneswar, petrol is being sold at ₹106.18 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹100.55 per litre.

In New Delhi, petrol is being sold at ₹102.12 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹95.20 per litre.

So far, petrol prices have increased by ₹8.06, while diesel prices have gone up by ₹7.80.

Indian National Congress has been continuously criticizing the government over the fuel price hikes. The party has repeatedly claimed that as soon as the elections ended, the Modi government started “recovering” money from the public through rising inflation and fuel prices. So far, petrol and diesel prices have been increased four times, and each time Congress has strongly attacked the government over the issue.
