The Kerala Assembly elections are currently in full swing. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi described the BJP as a “hidden force” and raised sharp questions against the party regarding the “Make in India” initiative. Rahul Gandhi is known for his simple yet energetic style of campaigning. During this campaign, he was seen riding a bicycle while seeking votes. What else did Rahul Gandhi say during today’s campaign for the Kerala Assembly elections?

Rahul Gandhi began his election campaign in Kerala on Monday. During this time, he launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of remaining silent on the Sabarimala issue during his visit to Kerala. He also alleged that the BJP and the LDF are working together.

Rahul Gandhi said that in the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections, the Congress is fighting both the CPI(M) and the BJP. He further claimed that Prime Minister Modi is working under pressure from Trump and said that everyone is aware of this.

Rahul Gandhi’s Bicycle Campaign:

In Kottayam, Rahul Gandhi conducted his election campaign by riding a bicycle. After speaking at a public meeting at the Pampady bus stand in Puthuppally, he left the area riding a bicycle.

Sabarimala and BJP–LDF Alliance:

During the campaign, Rahul Gandhi accused LDF leaders of stealing gold from the Ayyappa temple. He said that Prime Minister Modi’s silence on the issue indicates that the BJP and the LDF are working together. He further stated that this shows the Prime Minister does not care about religion or temples. Rahul Gandhi added that once a UDF government comes to power, those responsible for the alleged irregularities related to the temple will be punished.

Reference to Ambani and Adani and an Attack on the Government Over Employment:

While speaking on "Make in India" during a public meeting in Kerala, Rahul Gandhi expressed concern regarding jobs and domestic manufacturing. He stated, "When I began my speech, my eyes fell upon the microphone. It bore the inscription 'Made in China.' Why did it not say 'Made in India' or 'Made in Kerala'? If we do not even have products manufactured within India, how can we expect employment opportunities for the youth of Kerala?"

He said that if Kerala’s future remains in the hands of just these two companies, then how will Kerala be able to produce its own products? Rahul Gandhi alleged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are working for corporate interests and claimed that the country has been handed over to these two companies.

LDF Leadership Corrupt:

In his rally, Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP does not actually oppose the LDF because it knows that only the Congress party can challenge it at the national level. He claimed that the BJP also understands that the LDF cannot challenge it nationally and that since the BJP is in power in Delhi, any LDF government in Kerala remains under its control.

He further alleged that those who question the BJP are attacked, adding that he himself has 36 cases against him and was questioned for 55 hours, while no such action is taken against the chief minister of Kerala. Rahul Gandhi concluded by accusing the entire LDF leadership of being corrupt.
