Violence has flared up once again in Manipur. A bomb attack was carried out on a civilian's home in Moirang Trounglaobi village, located in the Bishnupur district. Tragically, the attack resulted in the death of two children, causing widespread panic and terror across the surrounding areas.

The attack claimed the lives of four individuals, including two children. Among the victims were a five-year-old boy and a six-month-old baby girl. This tragic loss of life has caused immense panic and fear throughout the region.

Reports are also emerging that following the attack, residents staged a protest. CRPF gunfire reportedly killed two more civilians during the demonstration.

After the attack, a curfew has been imposed in the area to prevent further incidents and to restore peace. The authorities have extended the curfew to five nearby districts to effectively manage the entire situation and control rumors.

Both children died, and the mother was injured:

According to the report, the attack took place around 1:00 AM and was carried out by Kuki militants. The incident occurred in Trounglaobi village in Bishnupur district. The attack resulted in the deaths of two children and left their mother with serious injuries. The report states that one child was 5 years old and the other was a 5-month-old baby, and both died on the spot.

Protests erupted in the valley following the incident:

After the attack, tension in the area escalated rapidly. Many people came out onto the streets and began protesting. The public's fear escalated as a bitumen tanker and a truck loaded with iron rods caught fire. The protests did not stop there—some individuals also attacked a CRPF camp, after which the CRPF moved into action mode.

The security forces injured nineteen people in the firing.

To control the situation in the area, the CRPF opened fire to disperse the crowd. In the process, 19 people were injured and were admitted to nearby hospitals. Reports also suggest that two people have died in the firing.

Seeing the rising tension, the administration imposed a curfew in Bishnupur district. To prevent the spread of rumors, internet services have been suspended for a few days in Bishnupur and the five surrounding districts. The police are appealing to people to maintain peace, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Rahul Gandhi Attacks the Government:

Rahul Gandhi posted on the social media platform X, saying:

"The news of the killing of two young children while they were sleeping at the home of a BSF soldier in Manipur is heartbreaking.

Even after three years, innocent children are still suffering in the burning fire of violence in Manipur — there is no sign of peace anywhere.

The Modi government has become so insensitive and stone-hearted that it seems to have forgotten that the children of Manipur are also the children of this country — they are our future.

When will this government wake up? How long will Manipur keep waiting, counting the bodies of its people?

I have repeatedly said that peace is the only way forward. A lasting solution to this crisis can only be found by bringing all communities together with sensitivity.

Prime Minister, Manipur is not just a state; it is a responsibility. A mere statement or a symbolic visit is not enough.

You must take concrete and immediate steps—before the situation goes completely out of control."
