Whether in television or Bollywood, several cases of actors dying by suicide have come to light over the years, shocking the entertainment industry and fans alike. This time, television actress Sanchita Ugale was found dead on the evening of June 14, 2026.
The incident took place at around 7 PM on Sunday, June 14, 2026, when Sanchita was at her flat in Mumbai's Nalasopara East area. She was reportedly alone at home when the incident occurred. When her family members returned home, they found her hanging from a ceiling fan with a saree tied around her neck in her room. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
After the incident, police searched the scene and her house but did not find any suicide note. The Achole Police Station has registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) in the case. Meanwhile, the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination as part of the investigation.

According to her close friend and co-star Megha Sharma, Sanchita was suffering from depression in January 2026 and was undergoing medical treatment. This was stated by her close friend and co-star during an interview.
According to media reports and some of her close friends, Sanchita had broken up with her boyfriend some time ago, and she was reportedly deeply upset over it.
One of the biggest challenges in Bollywood is the lack of opportunities for outsiders. In several of her earlier interviews, Sanchita had said that being an outsider made it difficult for her to get lead roles. Despite working in films like Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava and Manoj Bajpayee's Silence 2, she was reportedly still struggling to find good roles and steady work in the industry.
