On Sunday, a major attack took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. According to initial reports, the attack was carried out by extremists, and 15 police personnel have been killed.

In the outskirts of Bannu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, a vehicle loaded with explosives rammed into a police checkpoint, triggering a series of blasts that killed 15 people.

According to several reports, 15 police personnel were present at the checkpoint at the time of the attack, and according to new reports, all of them were killed in the blast.

Some security officials said that “this attack was carried out with careful planning and an ambush.”

According to confirmed reports, all 15 police personnel have been killed. All the officers who were deployed at the police checkpoint at that time died in the attack.

A police officer said, “First, the extremists carried out a car attack, and after that they entered the checkpoint and opened fire on the police personnel.”

Reports also suggest that when some police personnel arrived to help after the attack on the checkpoint, the extremists also attacked them.

The responsibility for this attack has been claimed by the extremist organization Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen.

Nauman Khan, spokesperson of the Bannu Medical and Teaching Institute, said that 15 police personnel have died, and all the victims were police officers.

Apart from this, three people were injured and have been admitted to the hospital, and they are now out of danger.
