he Class 10 results have been declared in West Bengal. Students can check their results on the official website of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
A total of 86.83% of students passed in this year's examination.
A total of 9.71 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 examination, out of which 86.83% passed.
Abhirup Bhadra topped the Class 10 examination this year with 99.71% marks, securing the top position in the state.
If seen district-wise, the Kalimpong district topped the entire state with a pass percentage of 95.01%.
After that, Purba Medinipur district secured the second position, where a total of 94.02% of students passed.
The third position was secured by Kolkata, where 92.31% of students passed.
Looking at the West Bengal Class 10 results, this year’s performance has been quite good compared to the last three years:
- 2026: 86.83% (announced on May 8, 2026)
- 2025: 86.56%
- 2024: 83.61%

- Abhirup Bhadra secured 1st rank with 99.71% marks.
- Priyatosh Mukherjee secured 2nd rank with 99.43% marks.
- Sourya Jana secured 3rd rank with 99.29% marks.
- Ankan Kumar Jana secured 3rd rank with 99.29% marks.
- Mainak Mondal secured 3rd rank with 99.29% marks.
- Arijit Bor secured 4th rank with 99.14% marks.
- Ram Karmakar secured 4th rank with 99.14% marks.
- Surodeep Das secured 4th rank with 99.14% marks.
- Soham Joardar secured 4th rank with 99.14% marks.
The Class 10 examinations in West Bengal were conducted between February 2 and February 12, 2026.
A total of 2,600 examination centers were set up for the Class 10 examination.
Compared to some other states, West Bengal’s result is not considered very strong. For example, this year 90.42% of students passed the Class 10 examination in Uttar Pradesh, while only 86.83% of students passed in West Bengal.
In the West Bengal Class 10 examination, the passing percentage is 34%, which means students must score at least 272 marks out of 800 to pass.
Along with this, passing marks are required in every subject.
There is a rule in West Bengal that students who fail to pass are given a chance to appear in the compartment examination conducted by the board.
