The Green Bay Packers managed to beat the Carolina Panthers by a score of 27-19 in their Thursday Night Football match that was held at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin on October 29, 2026.
Quarterback Jordan Love made three touchdown passes for the Packers, who had to overcome three turnovers and also saw their running back Josh Jacobs score twice in the match to move their record to 5-3. The Panthers went down to a record of 3-4. Green Bay managed to score all its 27 points in the first three quarters.
In addition, the night was celebrated by yet another team from Wisconsin. The Milwaukee Brewers, who recently won the World Series, were special guests at Lambeau Field, and the Packers gave the fans another reason to cheer for.
A rocky beginning of the night saw Coleman Owen lose the opening kickoff, resulting in the Panthers having the ball in a favorable position. The best Carolina could do was a 39-yard field goal to earn a 3-0 lead.
Green Bay responded by having an eight play, 56 yard drive where on third-and-8 from the Carolina 12-yard line, Love threw a pass to his tight end Tucker Kraft for a touchdown over the middle of the field, but due to the missed extra point by Tyler Smack, the Green Bay score stood at 6-3.
A Green Bay possession in the second quarter came to an end when safety Nick Scott knocked the ball out of Christian Watson's hands and linebacker Bobby Okereke recovered it.
Chuba Hubbard took the Panthers all the way for a touchdown from a yard out for Carolina to take the lead of 10-6.
Jacobs scored his touchdown from a yard out for Green Bay to lead 13-10, and Love connected with rookie Matthew Golden from a yard out for a touchdown on third-and-13 in the final minute of the first half.
During the third quarter, the Panthers failed during the fourth down and second at midfield when defensive tackle Chris McClellan tackled Hubbard. The Packers capitalized by making a touchdown pass from Love to Jacobs that measured 4 yards.
Fitzgerald kicked a 50-yard field goal and reduced the deficit to 27-13.
During the first down of the fourth quarter, Green Bay was positioned on Carolina's 28-yard line, but Love's pass to Golden was intercepted by Zakee Wheatley.
Panthers received a 26-yard pass from Bryce Young to Jalen Coker at 5:45. The two-point conversion attempt of Carolina was unsuccessful, and the final score was 27-19.
At 2:41, fourth down and five, at midfield, Young made an incomplete pass that sealed the win for the Packers. Rookie Dani Dennis-Sutton made a sack at 4 seconds.
- Jordan Love (Packers): 30 of 41 passes, 288 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.

- Christian Watson (Packers): Eight receptions for 113 yards and lost a fumble.
- Matthew Golden (Packers): Seven receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown.
- Bryce Young (Panthers): 23 of 41 passes, 209 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, took six sacks.
- Chuba Hubbard (Panthers): 22 rushes for 81 yards and a touchdown, seven receptions for 38 yards.
- The Packers dominated in many aspects:
- Total yards—Packers 354, Panthers 258.
- Third-down conversion—Packers 9/16, Panthers 5/18.
- Sacks – Packers 6, Panthers 0.
- Turnovers—Packers 3, Panthers 2.
- Penalties—Packers 6 (45 yards), Panthers 5 (41 yards).
- Green Bay’s defense did not let any of the past five opponents score more than 20 points.
Love noted that the team was not up to the task during the last minutes and has to learn how to finish games. Panthers' coach Dave Canales lauded his team for their effort and expected nothing less from them.
According to one of the recaps, the Panthers lost key players due to injuries in positions that were already short-staffed.
Green Bay can be pleased with their victory, which reverses the trend of a 20-17 loss against Detroit in a match held on Sunday. The offense proved very efficient, especially in the
red zone, but fumbling the ball three times nearly ended up costing them. Carolina will end its brief winning run and see that it cannot contain Young.
The Green Bay Packers will play at the New England Patriots on Sunday, November 8, before hosting the Minnesota Vikings on November 15. The Packers will be playing the Los Angeles Rams on Thanksgiving day and the New Orleans Saints on December 6.
