he BCCI has announced Team India's squad for the England and Ireland series on June 6. Several players have missed out on selection, while a few new faces have been included in the squad, providing fresh opportunities ahead of the upcoming T20I and ODI matches.
The biggest talking point from the squad announcement is that Suryakumar Yadav, who has been struggling with poor form for an extended period, has not only been removed from the captaincy but has also failed to secure a place in the team. Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer has been appointed as the new captain for the England and Ireland series.
One of the new faces included in the squad is Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. At just 15 years of age, his selection in Team India is a historic achievement. If he makes his debut during the series, he will become one of the youngest players ever to play international cricket for India and could set a new record as the youngest international cricketer.
In this squad, two key star players — Hardik Pandya and Rinku Singh — have been left out of the team.
Meanwhile, Prince Yadav has also been added to the squad. He currently plays for LSG in the IPL.
One special aspect of this series is that Team India will play an international match against Ireland after 19 years. The last time the two teams faced each other in an international match was in 2007.
The final match of the series will be played at the world-famous Lord's Cricket Ground, where India and England will face each other in the last game of the tour.

In India, the Ireland T20 matches will start at 7:30 PM IST, and they can be watched live in India.
England T20 matches will start at 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM (depending on the schedule and match day) and can be watched live in India.
England ODI matches can be watched in India according to Indian timings at 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM (depending on the match schedule).
India and Ireland are set to play 2 T20 matches in this series, which will be held on 26 June and 28 June.

After playing 2 T20 matches against Ireland, Team India will tour England for a full series, where they will play 5 T20 Internationals and 3 One Day Internationals (ODIs).
The T20I series will consist of 5 matches. The first match will start on 1 July 2026, and the last T20I match will be played on 11 July 2026.
