With today’s voting, polling has been completed in all five states. Along with this, exit polls have also been released in today’s news reports, giving an estimate of which party is likely to form the government in each state.
On Wednesday, the second round of voting in West Bengal concluded at 6 PM, recording a turnout of 91.66%. The first round had a turnout of 93.19%. Combining both phases, the total voter turnout in West Bengal in 2026 stands at 92.47%.
Earlier, voting had already taken place in Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry on April 9, while the entire state of Tamil Nadu voted in a single phase on April 23.
Only West Bengal witnessed voting in two phases — on April 23 and April 29.
Along with this, exit polls have started coming in after the completion of voting in the five states.

In the Chanakya Strategies exit poll, TMC is projected to win 130–140 seats, BJP 150–160 seats, and others 6–10 seats.
In the Peoples Pulse exit poll, TMC is projected to win 177–187 seats, BJP 95–110 seats, Congress 1–3 seats, and the Left 0–1 seat.
In the Matrize exit poll, TMC is projected to win 125–140 seats, BJP 146–161 seats, and others 6–10 seats.
In the P-Mark exit poll, TMC is projected to win 118–138 seats, BJP 150–175 seats, and others 2–6 seats.
In the West Bengal election, there are a total of 294 seats, and 148 seats are required to form the government.
Voting in Assam was held on April 9. The state has a total of 126 seats, and 64 seats are required to form the government.
Most exit polls are indicating that the BJP is likely to form the government again in Assam.
