Iran has not had internet access for the past 57 days. The internet was shut down by the government to stop anti-government protests so that people could not communicate with each other or share information, making it easier to control the protests.
If we look at it in hours, it has reached 1,344 hours, meaning the internet shutdown in Iran has entered 57 days. The main motive behind blocking the internet is to prevent people from communicating with each other, and the country’s economy is currently suffering losses due to the shutdown.
The Iranian government is working to suppress the voices of its people.
Some people in Iran are now using Starlink satellite equipment to bypass the blackout and access the internet.
However, this is a crime in Iran. If someone uses Starlink satellite internet there and gets caught, they can face up to two years in prison, and the government is trying strictly to stop people from using such services.
The internet shutdown in Iran is causing heavy losses to the country’s economy, but there is still no confirmed information about when the government will allow people to use the internet again.
