- Kaashvi Hiranandani confronted boyfriend ScoutOP inside the Bigg Boss 20 house on the October 25 Weekend Ka Vaar episode.
- She questioned his "sibling" bond with Love Gill and told him to set boundaries.
- After backlash, Kaashvi posted an Instagram apology on Monday, calling some of her remarks insensitive.
- Love Gill's team and Kamya Punjabi criticised her words, while ScoutOP's camp said he has always seen Love as a sister.
Three weeks of speculation about one friendship finally got a face-to-face hearing on Sunday night. With Rohit Shetty running the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Kaashvi Hiranandani, the gaming creator reported to be ScoutOP's girlfriend, walked into the Bigg Boss 20 house and asked him the question viewers had been asking for days. By Monday she was apologising for the way she asked it.
Kaashvi did not ease in. She questioned the brother-sister label ScoutOP and Love Gill have used for each other and pointed to footage of Scout massaging Love, which has circulated widely since early October. She asked Scout to draw a line and distance himself from the contestant.
She also turned to Love. According to BizAsia Live, Kaashvi asked whether Love behaved the same way with her other brothers. NDTV reported that she described the bond as making her feel "disgusted."
Scout held his position that the equation was sibling-like. Love said the massages were meant to ease her physical discomfort.
The episode also followed Rohit Shetty's own pointed questions about the pair's closeness a few days earlier.
Love's reaction came within hours. In clips reported by the Times of India and NDTV, she became emotional and told Scout he had "spoiled" her career. Telegraph India said she accused him of ruining her reputation. She also made an indirect reference to the Gurpreet Ghuggi controversy, which NDTV flagged in its coverage.
Her team went public the same day. They questioned why a grown man was being treated as the victim, and Moneycontrol reported that the team alleged character assassination.
Kaashvi responded on Instagram Stories on Monday, October 26.
She said she had meant to question Scout and hold him accountable for what she saw as his mistakes. She admitted that some of what she said was insensitive toward others involved, and that online commentary had colored her judgement in the moment. Bollywood Hungama quoted her saying she "should have known better." DNA India reported her adding that it was not her place to tell Love anything.
One detail drew attention. India.com noted that she did not mention Love by name.
Kamya Punjabi, who had already commented on the pair's physical closeness earlier this month, backed Love and urged Kaashvi to hold Scout responsible instead. Bollywood Hungama reported she called Kaashvi "spineless" and said another woman should not be pulled down to protect a man.
On the other side, First India reported that Kaashvi and parts of the gaming community rallied behind Scout. His team told NewsBytes and others that he has always viewed Love as a sister, and asked fans to trust his character.
Not everyone treated it as a two-way fight. News18 asked where viewers draw the line when a woman is blamed for a man's choices, and India Today's piece asked, more bluntly, why Love was under fire when Scout had a partner outside.
None of this came out of nowhere.
On October 7, Scout was seen telling Yung DSA that he felt "possessive" when he saw Love with Gullu. In the same conversation he appeared to use sign language to suggest his feelings might be shifting, according to Deccan Chronicle. Viewers noticed. Kaashvi addressed it on a livestream that week, saying she was okay and wished Scout well.
Two days later, Amrapali Dubey told Love that certain moments between her and Scout might not look good to partners waiting outside. Kamya Punjabi posted her own take on X around the same time.
Around the same time, a separate dispute in the house had already left the contestants on edge. After Nakul Dhull's altercation, Love chose to check on him, which did not sit well with Asif Khan, and the argument pulled in both Yung DSA and Scout. Scout felt Love should be left to handle her own relationships. Yung saw it as a question of loyalty and concern. Love told them she did not want anyone dictating whom she speaks to.
That fight is the backdrop to everything that followed.
Then came the weekend.
The apology has not ended the argument. Love's team is still disputing how she was portrayed, and Scout's team has pushed back on the narrative around him. Scout and Love now have to live in the house with all of it playing on screen.
Bigg Boss 20 streams daily at 9 pm on JioHotstar and airs at 10:30 pm on Colors TV.
