This is not the first NEET paper leak incident; such leaks have happened before as well. According to reports and opposition claims, similar incidents have occurred five times in the past.
The first major incident took place in 2015 with the AIPMT Bluetooth scam. Then in 2016, questions were raised over a leak in the NEET Phase 2 exam. In 2021, a solver gang case came to light where some teachers allegedly clicked pictures of the exam paper and shared them with solver gangs. After that, in 2024, the Hazaribagh Oasis School case surfaced when paper leak allegations emerged during the exam in Bihar and Jharkhand.
This time, something unprecedented happened in NEET 2026, as the paper was allegedly shared on WhatsApp and Telegram 48 hours before the exam.
For the first time in history, the entire exam has been cancelled, and the re-examination will now be held on June 21.
