hen the United States asked Iran to come to Pakistan for talks, Iran had already rejected the proposal and said it would not hold direct discussions with the U.S.
Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, arrived in Islamabad with his team, but the Iranian delegation left Pakistan without meeting the U.S. delegation.
Iran is not ready to hold direct talks with the United States, so Pakistan is acting as a messenger between the two countries to convey messages. Yesterday, the U.S.
said that its special envoy would travel to Pakistan, but the Iranian delegation left Islamabad without meeting the U.S. representatives, after which the United States cancelled its plan to visit Pakistan.
Abbas Araghchi arrived in Pakistan and held a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. During the meeting, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Army Chief Asim Munir were also present. After the meeting was completed, Araghchi left Pakistan. After this, Abbas Araghchi plans to visit Oman and Russia.
Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, had already made it clear that Iran will not hold direct talks with the United States. Iran has conveyed its views and concerns to Pakistan, and Pakistan will now pass Iran’s message to the United States.
He described the U.S. move as “an imposed aggressive war by the United States” and said that Pakistan is doing good work to help restore peace.

Donald Trump said that there is no point in making an 18-hour flight, as the United States can talk on the phone just as easily. He added that if Iran wants to talk, they can call, and the U.S. will not travel just to sit and hold useless discussions.
When a reporter asked if this meant the U.S. was preparing for war again, Donald Trump said that this is not the case. He added that the United States is in a strong position and holds all the cards, meaning the U.S. will move forward through talks.
