n Tuesday, Himanta Biswa Sarma once again took the oath as the chief minister of Assam. He has become the chief minister of the state for the second time.
Himanta Biswa Sarma became the Chief Minister from the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2021.
In this oath ceremony, four MLAs also took the oath as ministers along with him.
Those who took the oath as ministers are Rameswar Teli, Atul Bora, Charan Boro, and Ajanta Neog.
So far, no departments have been assigned to anyone; only the oath for the ministerial posts has been taken.
At the swearing-in ceremony of Himanta Biswa Sarma, Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and several chief ministers from the Bharatiya Janata Party and National Democratic Alliance-ruled states were present. Many senior BJP leaders also attended the program.
In this election, the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power in Assam with a two-thirds majority. Its allies, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and the Bodoland People's Front (BPF), also delivered a strong performance.
In this election, the Bharatiya Janata Party won 82 seats. Its ally Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) won 10 seats, while another ally, the Bodoland People's Front (BPF), also secured 10 seats.
Who attended the swearing-in ceremony?
According to a report by Press Trust of India, all senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party are expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
For this program, Narendra Modi had already reached Guwahati on Monday.
These leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party and the National Democratic Alliance attended the swearing-in ceremony.
The Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President Nitin Gadkari all participated in this swearing-in ceremony.
If we talk about the Union Ministers, then Rajnath Singh, Sarbananda Sonowal, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Lalan Singh, Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Chirag Paswan also took part in the swearing-in ceremony.

The chief ministers who attended the swearing-in ceremony included Rekha Gupta of Delhi, Pramod Sawant of Goa, Bhajan Lal Sharma of Rajasthan, Samrat Choudhary of Bihar, Vishnu Deo Sai of Chhattisgarh, Pushkar Singh Dhami of Uttarakhand, Devendra Fadnavis of Maharashtra, Mohan Charan Majhi of Odisha, and Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Ministers of several northeastern states—Tripura, Nagaland, Mizoram, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh—also participated in the swearing-in ceremony.
Deputy Chief Ministers from several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh, also took part in the ceremony, along with Chief Ministers from several other states.
The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Khanapara Veterinary College Ground in Guwahati, where thousands of people gathered to attend the event.
